Every published figure must lead back to its source. These are the layers we keep separate.

01 · IGN

Astronomy · IGN

Contact times, maximum, magnitude, Sun altitude and azimuth come from Spain’s National Geographic Institute official municipality table. Times are stored in UTC and displayed in CEST.

We use AEMET’s official hourly forecast when it covers the time of maximum eclipse. It is fetched server-side, cached temporarily, and shown with its issue and fetch times. We never use simulated data.

What we do not calculate

We do not analyse terrain, buildings, trees, access, traffic or real conditions at a site. We also do not offer a success score or rank a best viewing place.
